KVAND Co. is in business aviation since 1998 and is one of the leaders in the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States in the field of VIP interior design and production, as well as in the field of development and manufacturing of aircraft interior components. Russian State Civil Aviation Authority certificate, AR MAK certificate and Rosaviacosmos licences entitle the Company for the activities mentioned above.
KVAND provides the following services:
- design project development and construction of aircraft interiors;
- audio-video systems installation (LCD displays, DVD, CD, VHS) and Airshow system;
- furniture upholstering and soft parts replacement;
- paneling;
- design and installation of separate interior furniture units;
- navigation equipment installation: TCAS, GPS155, KLN-90B, KT-70, satellite communication system SCANDINAVIAN AVIONICS and Thrane & Thrane;
- installation of automatic radio beacon APM-406;
- production of VIP interior components: high-comfort passenger seats, tables, powered furniture mechanisms, LED lighting, aviation power supply, sofas, fittings, light signs;
- floor carpeting replacement.
The acting quality system conforms to the aviation regulations (AP-21, AP-145 in the part concerning the refurbishment of aircraft interiors, and manufacturing of aviation equipment components). The Russian aviation regulations are in the line with the similar European JAR and American FAR. The conformity of the acting quality system to the existing aviation regulations is confirmed by the relevant certificates issued by aviation authorities. The mentioned aviation regulations encompass a large part of ISO 9000 series quality management requirements.

KVAND is making its contribution to the implementation of the governmental "Russian Civil Aviation Development Program" worked out by the state air and space agencies. Currently the company is carrying out research projects aimed at the development and implementations of the new technologies and advanced project development methods in the Russian aviation industry. Recently the department of scientific engineering development was established within the company which conducts a program of research, testing and certification of innovative aircraft interior components.
